The First Enemy: The Raddid (June 2022)


For this progress update I present the Raddid. This was the first enemy added to the original beta game redesigned as shown. In the original files I had for them, they were referred to as a Razzid but I figured Raddid would have been better. The original game had a few different enemies and I plan on changing that and seeing if I can add more. For now I will make sure the original ones are also done. (If I decide on removing an enemy I will mention it).

Also Included in this progress is what one of the backgrounds for the first area (Fu-Flora Forest) would look like.


The original game had it so that once you collect enough carrots you gained a life but I am changing this entirely. You will no longer have lives because once you get a game over you are just sent back to the title screen but there isn't much reason for that especially if you made a save. Instead, there is now various collectibles (Most that are currently being shown) that gives you a certain amount of points. These points are used in a new ability/upgrade system that I plan on adding. The newer abilities are not necessary to beat the game except for the ones you get from the adventure directly.

The final ability (fifth ability) from the original however the "cannon" ability will be removed. This is because there isn't really much reason for it to exist other than to provide flex a long range attack which you get at the very end of the game. 

The original fourth ability's status will be changed to an optional ability as apposed to a story one.

Hopefully not too long from now the a demo will be ready.
